Details of our insurance

HIV travelinsuranceOur insurance will cover you for trips starting and ending in your country of residence. We provide insurance for:

  • Trips within Europe only or Worldwide
  • A single trip or any number of trips during a year (annual, multi-trip policy - maximum of 31 days/trip)
  • Yourself only or also your partner/spouse and/or family/friends.

It's important that anyone who is not HIV+ and travelling with you should also be covered by this insurance. Why?

Should the worst happen and you have to cancel or curtail your trip because of your HIV, anyone travelling with you who also wishes to cancel or curtail their trip should also be insured with us.

If your companion(s) has “ordinary” travel insurance, it's very possible their claim will be refused, as these policies are not designed to insure someone if they are travelling with someone who has a pre-existing medical condition.

What's covered?

Our policy includes cover for all the things an 'ordinary' policy does, including:

Up to £5 million per person for medical expenses
Up to £3,000 per person for cancellation or curtailment costs
Up to £1,500 for loss or theft of baggage or personal items

IMPORTANT: the contract of insurance is based on the English wording and any disputes will be settled under UK law. The translation of any documents is purely for guidance purposes and they do not form any part of the insurance contract.
